The Barwon Water Group is committed to implementing and maintaining a quality management system that improves efficiency and productivity, ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are compliant and our services meet the requirements of our customers.
Purpose
The purpose of this Quality Management System (QMS) policy is to ensure the provision of safe, reliable, and high-quality water and sewage services to our customers. This policy outlines our commitment to continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. The quality management system shall be in accordance with the current version of AS/NZS ISO 9001 quality management systems standards.
Scope
This policy applies to all Barwon Water Group employees. Where applicable the Quality policy extends to contractors, visitors and members of the public that are working under our control or present at our workplaces or publicly accessible sites.

Objective
Barwon Water Group’s objective is to develop, implement and maintain a quality management system in order to:
- Provide adequate resources, training and awareness to ensure quality objectives are implemented across the organisation in line with Strategy 2030, including consideration of the risks and effects of climate change.
- Promote a culture that supports the effective maintenance of the quality objectives.
- Meet applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and measure effectiveness and performance through a programme of audits, and other assurance activities.
