National Water Week 2023

About National Water Week

Each year, National Water Week (16 – 22 October 2023) makes a splash across Australia inspiring individuals, communities and organisations to work together to build community awareness and understanding of water-related issues.

Access to clean water is hugely important to our daily lives, and it’s down to all of us to protect our water environments and resources, and use water wisely.

Creativity shines for National Water Week

Primary school students from across the region have showcased their creative talents for National Water Week (16–22 October).

In total, we received 190 entries from 7 local schools for the annual poster competition, focusing on this year’s theme “United by water”.

Congratulations to the following students and schools. Each student will receive a prize pack valued at more than $100, and the five randomly chosen schools will each receive a $500 education voucher.

Well done to all entrants and in particular the winning students below.

We’re also thrilled to announce that all the entries we received this year will be on display at the Geelong Gallery in the Learn Space.

The space will open to the public on Saturday 21 October until Sunday, February 25, 2024. We are so proud of all the students who entered and excited that their creativity is being showcased at one of Australia’s leading and oldest regional art galleries.
