Barwon Water has finished 2024 on a high, with customers rating the organisation as the best in the Victorian sector across the board. The latest Essential Services Commission (ESC) customer perception survey results show Barwon Water was the top-ranked water authority in Victoria for all four measures, from February 2024 to November 2024.
The organisation’s average scores also increased for every measure, compared to the previous survey period.

The ESC surveys 5,200 water customers across 15 state-owned urban and regional water corporations every 12 months
Customers are asked how they rate their water provider on a scale of 1-10 across four key areas: value for money, reputation in the community, level of trust and overall satisfaction.
Across the year Barwon Water ranked either first or second for water authorities in each survey metric.
In a reflection of consistent performance and rating, Barwon Water has ranked either first or second for each measure since August 2022.
