We are looking for a commercially minded, technically capable, Circular Economy Projects Specialist to help lead and facilitate a range of exciting transformation projects.
You will ideate, develop and bring to life transformational projects that help deliver on Barwon Water’s Strategy 2030 vision and drive the development of a circular economy in our region.

About the role
You will lead the identification, assessment, implementation and embedment of transformational opportunities that deliver value for our customers and achieve key goals in zero emissions, zero waste and climate resilience.
You are capable developing commercial projects that drive a circular economy. You will play a key role in encouraging the business to identify new opportunities based on market needs and trends. You’ll develop economic models, business cases and apply sound project management methods to ensure initiatives are delivered within business requirements.
About you
You’re a problem solver; comfortable in getting deep into technical details and with a strong commercial mindset.
You’re not afraid to get your hands dirty and do whatever it takes to get stuff done, you can pivot and adapt quickly anticipating next steps.
You have excellent communication skills and you build strong relationships with partners and people.
You’re a leader, an influencer, and can inspire others by setting a high personal standard.
Self-motivated with strong organisational skills, you work across multiple projects coordinating a range of disciplines.
What we’re looking for
- A degree or higher in either engineering, commerce, law, (or a similarly relevant field) including expertise in the development of commercial enterprises, ventures or projects.
- Experience in the delivery of innovative commercial projects across relevant sectors, including utilities, infrastructure, manufacturing, industry or environment.
- A current Victorian driver’s licence is required.
