A new shared pedestrial / bicycle path will connect Roslyn Road, Wandana Heights, to Thornhill Road, Highton.
We are turning the under-utilised Highton pipe reserve into a valuable public open space, connecting residential areas, reserves, schools and churches.
The 1.8 kilometre long, 2.5 metre wide shared path will provide a traffic-free alternative for pedestrians and cyclists, especially students travelling to nearby schools. This sealed path will also improve accessibility for community members who already use the informal track along the grassed reserve.
Construction of the path will commence in April 2017, to be completed by mid-2017.
Barwon Water will keep nearby residents informed throughout the project.
