Customer affordability is a key priority for Barwon Water and the Victorian Government.
Keeping prices down is a fundamental aim of the Water Plan.
Our record spending on capital projects and infrastructure means that we now need to consolidate our finances and focus on efficient spending, savings, and productivity.
From 2013, our focus will begin to shift from infrastructure to efficiency — putting our new projects to work to ensure a sustainable water supply for our next generation.
Significant growth is planned across our region, including Armstrong Creek, Torquay, Fyansford and the Bellarine Peninsula.
We will continue to efficiently service new growth and regional development.
Diversifying our system will ensure the sustainable future of our liveable region, in the face of challenges such as population growth and climate change.
Integrated water cycle management means working hand-in-hand with stakeholders and across sectors to diversify water supply solutions.
This is our priority as we face the future.
