Tree propagation centre

Barwon Water, with support from the Corangamite Catchment Management Authority, provides nursery facilities for community groups at no charge.

The facilities are available for the production of plants to be used in vegetation projects associated with regional waterways.

The Community Tree Propagation Centre provides:

• assistance from qualified Barwon Water personnel
• information and guidance on indigenous seed collection
• seed storage facilities
• resources needed for plant production
• automated watering systems to reduce seedling loss.

Groups which benefit from these facilities include:

• Landcare
• landowners
• students and teachers
• "Friends of ……"
• Waterwatch.
