Charges and prices New water and sewerage prices come into effect 1 July 2009. The annual price increase approved by the Essential Services Commission (ESC) for 2009/10 is 13.8% per year including CPI of 2.47%. For a typical household using 165 kilolitres of water a year this will result in a $97.64 increase, or $1.58 a week. Bills will vary depending on usage. The new pricing will fund new water solutions designed to ensure supply security until 2055. We will invest more than $766 million in new and replacement infrastructure over the next five years. This will ensure we have safe, reliable water supplies to accommodate future growth and development in one of the fastest growing areas of Victoria. More information:
