Barwon Water's policies specify broad parameters within which the organisation and its employees are expected to operate.

Policy statements provide guidelines on what is to be undertaken in specific situations and indicates a commitment to a set of objectives.

Policies also provide guidance on acceptable or unacceptable standards of behavior. These standards can be optional or mandatory as in the case of legal or statutory compliance obligations.
