Corangamite region Waterwatch program
What is Corangamite Waterwatch?
The Corangamite Waterwatch program is part of a national community water quality monitoring program which has been operating since 1993.
Waterwatch is a free program that provides training and support for groups to monitor water quality in their local waterways. The program is hosted by the Corangamite CMA in partnership with Barwon Water and sponsored through the Federal Government National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality.
In the Corangamite region, Waterwatch supports on average 60 groups with 900 participants monitoring more than 100 sites.
